Local 8 has been a proud member of the PPWC since 1967 after breaking away from the International union. Local 8 is comprised of five certifications which include Harmac Pulp, Canexus Chemical, Long Hoh Sawmill, Western Forest Products Value Added Division and Ladysmith Sawmill which represents over 400 members.
